This is the shelf that made Kitan Club known outside Japan. A cup-rim figure has a hooked leg or arm, so it perches on the lip of a glass and stays there while you drink. Fuchiko came first; Putitto turned the same idea into a licence line. The design constraint is unforgiving — the balance point has to work on thin glass and thick mugs alike.
The complete Kitan Club sets in this group are older production and arrive boxed rather than blind. They are heavier purchases and the ones collectors ask us about most often. The single Putitto blind box is the usual format, with the line-up printed and one figure inside. Kitan Club collectibles here are decorative, not tableware.
